Steven Spielberg is an interesting guy. As his career has lengthened, he has seemed less and less interested in personally making the big popcorn films that made him a household name. Shia LaBeouf, star of Transformers and the upcoming Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, is having some legal woes. Apparently, LaBeouf and his lawyer failed to show up for a recent court hearing in regards to a misdemeanor unlawful smoking charge. A $1,000 bench warrant has been issued against him.
When it comes to equality of the sexes, it’s nice to know LaBeouf is doing all he can to help out. With the tabloids normally dominated with stories about Lindsey Lohan or Birttney Spears, it’s nice to see a young male star also playing the idiot on occasion.

Yes, while you and everyone you know were busy trying to forget the Transformers movie ever happened, at least one individual was trying to keep the fantasy living a little longer. Jessie Vigil, a 35-year-old disabled Iraq War veteran, has been attempting to recreate the cop car from the film. Virgil lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, and even called the local district attorney to make sure it was legal for him to do so. As far as they could tell, as long as he didn’t try to impersonate police he was in the clear. Now, however, some state police officials are a little worried about a fake cruiser patrolling the streets.
So, why did Virgil go through all this trouble? Because his 7-year-old son liked the movie. Virgil admitted to being a bad dad before his tour in Iraq and said he had spoiled his son ever since returning. How’s that for a weird and yet touching story?
