One thing you will have to hand to comic book movies, it looks like they’re finally starting to get the whole poster thing. From Spider-Man 3’s memorable black and red Spideys facing off, to this new one for The Incredible Hulk, it appears those in marketing finally realized they are adapting from a very visual medium that may already have 1,000s of great ideas waiting to be used. Each issue’s cover is another brilliant possibility! Oddly enough, this poster (courtesy of IGN) resembles a certain Spider-Man comic book.

This is it. The final theatrical poster artwork for Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Yes, try to say that five times fast. Anyway, unlike some recent posters, this one is quite eye catching. It has that classic Indiana Jones mystique about it, as well as hinting at the plot without full blown spoilers. Speaking of spoilers, and this isn’t exactly one since this site avoids spoilers, but doesn’t the guy on the left look an awfully lot like an adult Short Round? Surely not. There are lots of things to be excited about with this summer’s Iron Man movie. It looks like it might just be the first good Marvel Comics movie since Spider-Man 2, and Robert Downey Jr. looks to be cast in the role of his life. In fact, basically everything for this film has been flawless from casting to trailer to hype. That was, until now. Unfortunately, this newest Iron man poster looks like the stuff of rushed direct to DVD cash grabs. Oh well, you only have to be good three out of nine times to be an all-star, right? What is there to say about this final version of the Wall-E theatrical poster? Well, it’s kind of boring. Yes, it does feature the adorable main character front and center, and the spaceship certainly hints at some of the film’s plot, but it lacks the innocence the trailers capture so well. It isn’t a bad poster for the film, but neither is it iconic or classic. A slight disappointment from a film that has nothing but positive buzz. Click the above image for a larger sized version.
