What is it with black leather? Why does every comic book turned film have to drape its heroes in black leather? Are they all bikers? Aren’t moviegoers already suspending their disbelief enough with flying people to accept they might wear orange?
Remember Third Rock from the Sun? Joseph Gordon-Levitt sure does, as it’s the show that put him in the spotlight. However, as his career progresses from child star to Hollywood leading man, he begins to resemble other TV actors from the past, such as Tom Hanks and Robin Williams.
While recent revelations of costume designs may instill some hope in Joe fans, most know better than to get their hopes too high for the upcoming live-action G.I. Joe movie. Sure, things will blow up real nice, but can’t audiences expect a little more? Like say, hearing “And knowing is half the battle,” at least once? Apparently, they can. (more…)
When it comes to the new G.I. Joe film, fair or not, Snake Eyes may be the most famous character outside of Cobra Commander and Destro. Unlike many of the Joes who were defined by their features, Snake Eyes was entirely costume based like the aforementioned Cobra members. In other words, his look is very important. (more…)
