While for most people making $300,000 a year would be a nice little salary, the cast of The Simpsons wasn’t satisfied with that amount per episode. Instead, in their recent contract negotiations they asked for a $200,000 per episode raise from $300,000 to $500,000. Instead, Fox met them halfway.

There are some news stories that simply catch you out of left field, and knock you for a loop. The announcement of Batman: The Movie coming to Blu-ray this year is one of those. Just for those who are confused, this is the film version of the classic, campy 1960s television series starring Adam West.

There have been rumblings for a while that a theatrical film would be made of the TV series 24. Now, it appears, the first 24 film will be a TV affair, instead. Apparently the 2 hour film will bridge the two year gap between seasons six and seven. Two years? Doesn’t every season of this show take place two or three years apart? At some point, isn’t this chronology going to catch up with the producers? Maybe this is why Jack has tech gadgets that only exist in fantasy? Regardless, the 2 hour film will air this fall with the seventh season to follow in spring 2009.
