Here’s something that nobody really seemed to be asking for. What if there was a way to integrate the PS3 with the iPhone? That way, you would never have to put down your new gadget iPhone, even when playing with your new gadget PS3.
Don’t ask and you shall receive. NetBlender is announcing that their BD Touch tehcnology allows for two-way connectivity between the PS3 and iPhone, at least when it comes to the Blu-ray playing capabilities. Sound neat? Well, the potential uses are…sort of.

Nina Garcia, one of the judges from Bravo’s Project Runway series, has been fired from her day job as Fashion Director for Elle Magazine. This probably comes as good or bad news for you depending on how you respond to her personality on the show, or if you’re a reader of Elle Magazine. Still, it’s always sad to see someone lose their job and hopefully she rebounds soon.
It does raise questions about how this might affect her position on the show, though. This also comes at a time when Lifetime and Bravo are fighting for rights to the show. It would be sad to see one of the better reality shows go down to, well, a cat fight.

One thing you will have to hand to comic book movies, it looks like they’re finally starting to get the whole poster thing. From Spider-Man 3’s memorable black and red Spideys facing off, to this new one for The Incredible Hulk, it appears those in marketing finally realized they are adapting from a very visual medium that may already have 1,000s of great ideas waiting to be used. Each issue’s cover is another brilliant possibility! Oddly enough, this poster (courtesy of IGN) resembles a certain Spider-Man comic book.

Speed Racer sure has been seeing a lot of trailers released. This is either a good sign, as the producers really want to show off their fantastic film. Or, this is a bad sign showing that they have no idea how to market this very cartoonish looking action film.

Here’s a story that’s becoming more and more common these days in Hollywood. There’s a big blockbuster film, everyone seems happy, and a few years later someone decides to sue over it. In the past this has mostly been people claiming their idea was ripped off, but as with Lord of the Rings, now more and more it’s becoming money disputes between the creators.

It was one of the surprise announcements of this TV season, that Britney Spears would appear on How I Met Your Mother on CBS. Letterman? Sure, but a sitcom? Despite her experience with guest starring on Will & Grace, it seemed like a strange move at this point in the singer’s career. That was until the episode garnered very favorable reviews from critics and fans alike.

Ever wondered what the real world would be like if it were more like Futurama? First, there’d probably be a whole debate this election year on robot rights to marry. But beyond that, it might look something like the art Dylan Marvin has cooked up. Basically, Marvin has taken some stock photography and used Photoshop to tweak it beyond belief. The result? Something very, very neat. Visit his site for more Futurama artwork.

The other day there was a very weird press release for the Blu-ray release of Batman: The Movie. Weird, because who was really clamoring for Batman: The Movie on Blu-ray? Not only that, but it featured a truckload of extras. Now comes this first look at the cover art for the disc. It looks, well, a little serious. Perhaps they are hoping to trick some fans of this summer’s The Dark Knight into buying this based on the cover alone? They’ll be sorely disappointed.

There isn’t too much surprising here that hasn’t been announced before, with the possible exception of the XIII miniseries. Based on a popular comic book series, it has already been adapted once as a video game (featuring the voice of David Duchovny). The rest of the lineup isn’t too thrilling, though it is interesting to see that they note this will be ER’s last season. Wasn’t the same thing said about last season?

Here’s the thing about American Idol: it isn’t great and they take advantage of the artists, but pretty much everyone who has launched a career from it owes it everything. It’s a sad realization for many, but most American Idol contestants would have gotten nowhere without the show’s ubiquitous PR behind them. That includes last season’s runner-up Blake Lewis. This appearance on a radio show, while sprinkled with some truth, just makes him seem like such a prima donna for someone who hasn’t really accomplished all that much. It’s akin to being snobby at a monster truck rally.
