It was one of the surprise announcements of this TV season, that Britney Spears would appear on How I Met Your Mother on CBS.  Letterman?  Sure, but a sitcom?  Despite her experience with guest starring on Will & Grace, it seemed like a strange move at this point in the singer’s career.  That was until the episode garnered very favorable reviews from critics and fans alike.

Now, the word is that producers are hoping to bring her back for at least one more episode.  This is really good news for the troubled singers and her fans.  Spears undoubtedly has charisma, if not the greatest singing voice.  There’s still a place for her as a star, if she can just hold it all together.
