Variety is reporting that Knight Rider will be reborn for the third time as a series. The new series will be continued from the February TV movie which saw a new KITT and a whole new cast, with a cameo from original Knight, David Hasselhoff. Now, the only thing to truly pine for is a full-time recurring role for Hasselhoff.
Actually, there’s one more thing, and that’s creativity on television. Why is the public being subjected to a third Knight Rider series? Was there any serious demand? Must every action/adventure series from the 70s and 80s eventually be remade? The TV public gets this, and far better original shows get canceled in its place. That’s progress.

Just accept the Firefly effect and stop watching television. After all, what’s the point?
