Here’s a weird one to ponder. How do you go from The 40-Year-Old Virgin to playing the First Lady? That would be a good question to pose to Elizabeth Banks, who has been cast in Oliver Stone’s new biography of George W. Bush.
It’s an interesting casting choice, and you can certainly see a resemblance between the two in some photos. More interesting is exactly what form Stone’s film, simply titled W, will take. He’s said it will not be a simple attack piece, but an actual examination of the good and bad parts of Bush’s life and presidency. Of course, knowing Stone, it will feature its fair share of conspiracy talk as well.

Oliver Stone’s “NIXON” was okay, but IMO was too Left-centric at the expense of other opinions and also didn’t really capture the Nixon years in Vietnam-era America, including his personal persona as believed by mainstream America. I admit that as a resident of Guam USA, my persepective could be different from those in the US mainland [or elsewhere] durng the same period.
Compare wid George Lucas’s STAR WARS Prequels, which as a collection were good but suffered from plot, logic inconsistencies = linkage defects which were preserved instead of being corrected, modified, or improved upon.
