Robin Williams to guest star on Law & Order: SVU’s 200th episode

Robin Williams

Have you not been getting enough lately?  Is rewatching Aladdin and Popeye just not feeling an empty hole in your life?  Thank goodness for Law & Order: SVU then, as they’re giving new territory for Williams to roam.  He will guest star in the upcoming 200th episode to air April 29.

This is a strange situation.  Here are two formally great icons of entertainment, both past their primes, uniting to celebrate a milestone for one of them?  Williams’ best days are behind him and SVU just feels tired now.  It doesn’t help that they’ve upped the cringe factor in order to compete with CSI and other shows.  Really, there are some sexual perversions that don’t need an hour of television devoted to them.
